SUMMARY:Module 72-hour permaculture design certificate
DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\nWe are a family, we are the GIOGADROXIU farm: Efisio, Sabrina, Anna and Maia.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe recently chose our place to live, work and grow. The area was once an area of ancient Nuragic settlements and also an old goat-shed, traces of which still remain (the dry-stone walls, the old junipers worked and used as poles, for canopies or other structural parts). The land expands in lenght, it is a strip that stretches from the river bed up to 500m. the peaks, large, square pink granite boulders and imposing carob and wild olivesin synergy with abundant tall mastic trees, myrtle, strawberry tree, heather and other Mediterranean maquis plants.\nIt is here where we have chosen to live; amidst the deer and wild boar trails, where you can easily climb to the top of the cliffs and enjoy a vast panorama, take a dip in the nearby streams or the sea, It is here that we would like to welcome you as participants in the course. From up here, the view sweeps over the two nuraghi (one on the plateau and the other on a hill at medium height), the valley of Monte Porceddus, Monte Liuru to the east and finally the sea of Feraxi.\nWe organised this camp uniting people with their own distinguishing personal interests and resources\nOUR TEACHERS\n\nSaviana Parodi Delfino Tutor. Biologist, Permaculture planner and practitioner, natural construction labourer, seed-saver since 1995; she has been studying, practising, broadcasting and designing P/C around the world (Australia, Europe, South America, Switzerland, Burkina Faso), working as a volunteer in self-construction and natural agriculture. She lives between Italy and Argentina\nAlessandro Caddeo Pedagogist and educator, expert in learning processes and owner of a farm, works in the field of education and training of working groups and individuals. Expert in soil regeneration with animal grazing\nLuca Puri Expert in landscaping, permaculture, urban permaculture. \nSabrina Cicalini Domoterotherapist\nAlessandro Porcu Homeopathic veterinarian, zooanthropologist, nonviolent communication mediator\nLuciana Concu Pedagogical group trainer, non-violent communication mediator\nEfisio Fois sustainable and ecco friendly architecture\n\n \nACCOMMODATION\nWith regards to accommodation, we have worked to create various tent pitches, surrounded by centuries-old granite in the shade of secular trees and on comfortable wooden platforms: we have a large ‘glamping’ tent,a few bungalows and a comfortable B’n’B a short walk away.\nYou are kindly asked not to bring your pets as the local fauna is rich and it would be difficult to handle more animals.\nWe believe that permaculture’s principles and contents are also of great interest to children, and therefore the camp is designed so that it can also be enjoyed by children. Whoever would like to come with their family, we have designated play and rest areas that are suitable for children and the events have also been tailored to include them. The principle that everyone’s needs are expressed and respected is a strong one and the approach of non-violent communication will be valuable.\nMeals will be prepared, under the guidance of the coordinators, by small groups of participants on a rotational basis. The vegetarian menu will be prepared with local natural and organic produce.\nWe hope that each participant will be able to experience the camp completely, while also finding their own way to strengthen the positive, intimate and profound Human-Earth bond.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe are pleased to share with you the location where we live and work as a social farm, inspired by permaculture and biodynamics, within a spacious field of knowledge, exchange and conviviality.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPROGRAMME GUIDELINE 72-HOUR PERMACULTURE DESIGN MODULE\n\n\n\n\n\n\n1ST DAY\nOrigins and definition of Permaculture\nEthics and aptitudes\nPrinciples of ecology\nDifferences between eco and techno-systems\n2ND DAY\nWATER (physics, biochemistry and memory):\nwater behaviour and hydrological cycle\nthe 4 water phases\nNatural patterns: movement, form, function\nHow energy travels\n3RD DAY\nEARTH organism: definition,\nFundamental structure and cycles, regeneration\nTree system, forest\nSynergical and natural farming (Fukuoka)\nP/C PRACTICES\n4TH DAY\nAnalysing the elements: needs, products and intrinsic characteristics\nAIR: climate and microclimates, adaptations and changes\nStructures: bio-rollo, windbreak, swale, k-line, pond, sun trap, soil lymphatic system, etc.\n5TH DAY\nZoning: 5th to 00, from our instincts to our unconscious (self-healing)\nRelative position, sectors\n6TH DAY\nHealthy nutrition: principles, fermentations etc.\nBasics of Non-Violent Communication by Marshal Rosemberg\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSustainable Community Economies\nEthical finance\n7TH DAY\nSpontaneous architecture-Passive solar house, appropriate technical models, etc…\nLocal raw materials: stone, straw, unfired earth, reeds, slaked lime, crushed earthenware, hydraulic lime, etc.\nFIRE: combustion, rocket-stove, solar kiln, dryer, etc…\n8TH DAY\nCalamities and disasters\nAquafarming, phyto-purification, bio-ponds\nFlora and Fauna Conservation Management\n\n9TH DAY – PLANNING\nPlanning methods: territory and landscape\nMap reading and site analysis\n10TH DAY\nSeed selection and storage\nPlanning work\n11TH DAY\nPlanning work\n12TH DAY\nProject presentation\nAssessment\nCourse feedback\n\n\n\n\n\n\nN.B.THIS IS A ROUGH OUTLINE OF THE PROGRAMME, IT WILL BE PUT INTO PERSPECTIVE ACCORDING TO THE LOCATION AND THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE\nDownload the flyer ( https://org.wwoof.it/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/pidicimarteE.pdf )\n\n\n\n
