ORGANIC IS…NATURE!
we’ll visit the Focognano Oasis managed by the WWF, and find out how useful it is for organic farming
at 10 am the visit will start on foot from the Villa Montalvo car park (Via Limite 15, Campi Bisenzio) — it is necessary to book by March 16 — by writing the name and surname of the visitor to the e-mail address: sa_ffran@tiscali.it
In agriculture and in the various infrastructural works that have been carried out in the Florence plain for seventy years, the lack of integration of water, land, hedges, trees, animals, from the smallest to the largest, remains very high. The areas of the Plain where the WWF conserves and restores natural habitats do not include agricultural activities, but are the most important “sources of biodiversity” that local agriculture, mainly non-organic, could/should finally prefer and make its own. If this happened, many of the problems that this plain suffers today would vanish
and others would become less acute. It has in fact been evident for a long time how agriculture segregated from nature creates very serious problems. The visit is part of the BEING ORGANIC campaign in the EU co-financed by the European Union, proposed by Naturland and FederBio as well as participated by Vallefiorita, Solleone, Bio Organica Italia, Bologna Fiere.
See you next March 18, with comfortable clothes and shoes even for rain.
