On earth, only 1 percent of fresh water is available to humans.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
In Italy, 42 billion cubic meters are withdrawn each year, corresponding to the water contained in Lake Maggiore.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Of these, exactly half are taken for agricultural use.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Daily we use about 250 liters per day, per capita for washing, drinking and cooking (istat average).<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Then there is the invisible water, consumed daily per person. This, amounts to about 3700 liters!!! <\/div>\n
3500 of which are associated with the production of the food we eat. (What food?) <\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
How do farms and various actors in the countryside eco-system use the water resource? What are they doing to preserve it? How do they respond to the obvious decrease in water availability, the distribution (inconsistent with past patterns) of rainfall, and the poor management policies for the resource that have been perpetuated for some time? <\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
We on the farm are also greatly affected by this crisis. We are constantly looking for good agronomic and management solutions. Such as may be increasing organic matter in the soil, consequently increasing the sponge effect and decreasing ‘erosion. But there are still so many good practices to learn and share. <\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
That is why we propose, a theoretical and practical training course on water resource management in business.<\/div>\n
