{"id":14139,"date":"2023-06-15T18:15:59","date_gmt":"2023-06-15T18:15:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/org.wwoof.it\/2023\/06\/thinking-like-a-river-basin\/"},"modified":"2023-06-15T18:15:59","modified_gmt":"2023-06-15T18:15:59","slug":"thinking-like-a-river-basin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/org.wwoof.it\/en\/2023\/06\/thinking-like-a-river-basin\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;Thinking like a river basin.&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">An extremely timely bioregionalist reflection<\/h2>\n\n<div style=\"height:43px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p>Paraphrasing Aldo Leopold and his <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.macrolibrarsi.it\/libri\/__pensare-come-una-montagna.php?pn=4113\" target=\"_blank\">Thinking Like a Mountain<\/a>, <strong>today it is really the case that there is a need to &#8220;think like a river basin.&#8221;<\/strong> Leopold&#8217;s exhortation is from the early 1940s and is an invitation to see mountains not simply as a pile of forest, mining, water, landscape, flora and fauna or leisure resources, but as a value in itself to be preserved and used with care, respecting its dynamics, connections and spirit.
