Solidarity Economy District initiative still has 10 housing units available<\/h2>\n\n

This is an unusual announcement for the WWOOF Italy blog: however, we thought that some among the Members, not necessarily farmers, might be interested in a quality project born in a related field to that of our association.<\/p>\n\n

DESBRI<\/a>, as well as WWOOF Italy is associated with Rete Semi Rurali and represents its “social” soul, that of the militants of the Solidarity Economy Networks. <\/p>\n\n

We leave the floor to Sergio Venezia president of Coop Il Convivio, which is taking charge of the project.<\/p>\n\n

To friends, cooperators, and social and health workers.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Dearly beloved, until now we have taken many or few steps together, sharing passions and values, hopes and defeats (victories, few!). The time I have entered – of leave from work – allows me to focus on some never dormant projects, such as that of a “shared living,” accessible without excessive pretensions of renunciation or asceticism: a sharing made of tolerance, empathy, reciprocity, capable of speaking also the language of “us” in the individual ocean in which we are immersed. This is why months ago I accepted the bet to build a co-housing in the heart of Brianza, aggregating families who want to undertake this journey. <\/p>\n\n

In September we formed the Coop. Building IL CONVIVIO: we are 12 members who have to date optioned 6 apartments of what will be the renovation (toward energy class A) of Villa Elda. That leaves 10 still available. The plan is to reserve a “micro-area” (Trieste) or “community gateway” (Cervia) space in which the skilled presence of health, social and volunteer workers will guarantee the first territorial health and social cohesion services to the CONVIVIO residents and everyone in Cal\u00f2. The Common Room, and the park with a large lawn, will also be able to host socio-cultural initiatives shared with the hamlet, such as assemblies, cineforums, concerts and conferences… <\/p>\n\n

Therefore, if you believe, I ask you to collaborate on this project:<\/p>\n\n

– participating if interested<\/p>\n\n

– Supporting the economic and community path, marked by the principles of mutualism<\/p>\n\n

– Spreading the word as much as possible to your networks, friendly, parental, and work<\/p>\n\n

THE CONVIVIO generative living Project was born from the strong desire of some families to implement supportive neighborhood living, supported by the technical expertise of the VivAbitare Professional Network. It is a bottom-up participatory co-housing project in all its phases. The project also sees the sponsorship and collaboration of the Solidarity Economy District of Brianza (DES Brianza) and that of Como (L’ISOLA CHE C’E’) <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To date, 6 households have already expressed interest in one of the apartments, out of the 16 planned.Parallel to the technical and economic path, a social path is proceeding, made up of meetings to get to know and compare the participants, Participatory Assemblies and collective visits to other co-housing experiences.<\/strong> With the start-up of the cooperative, this path will be facilitated and guarded by Coop. Sociale SPAZIO GIOVANI (as a partner of the VivAbitare Business Network), for a total period of about 4 years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
