Water. Three days of meetings, farmers markets and reflections on the future of natural agriculture.  <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p>Dear WWOOFer and Host,<\/p>\n\n<p>After four years spent watching the sun rise on the shores of the Adriatic Sea, this year our most important event changes horizon and moves to the Tyrrhenian Sea. The <strong>2026 National Gathering of WWOOF Italy<\/strong> will be held from <strong>February 27 to March 1<\/strong> in the beautiful setting of <strong>Massa Marittima (GR)<\/strong>, at the Sant&#8217;Anna Hostel. <\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A vital thread: Water<\/h4>\n\n<p>This year the Board community chose a theme to guide their thinking, and for 2026 we could only choose<strong>Water<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>A precious and increasingly unpredictable resource, water is at the heart of farmer work. We will talk about how to manage water scarcity, how to counter the advancing desert, and the role of the farmer as guardian of the land against landslides and disruption. Among the guests, we will have the pleasure of listening to <strong>Paolo Ermani<\/strong> who will talk about light agriculture and self-irrigating gardens.  <\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What lies ahead?<\/h4>\n\n<p>The program is rich and designed to encourage exchange, participation and, of course, the enjoyment of being together:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Thursday 26:<\/strong> Day reserved for those who are already part of the council community and open only to those who want to approach this group as listeners.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Friday 27:<\/strong> We will get into the swing of things with the &#8220;Coordinators&#8217; Circle&#8221; and technical insights on the topic of water.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Saturday 28:<\/strong> It will be time for the <strong>Members&#8217; Assembly<\/strong>, the democratic heart of our association, where we will vote on budgets and discuss future plans. The day will end with a panel discussion on small-scale agriculture and the inevitable <strong>Farmer&#8217;s Dinner<\/strong> followed by live music. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sunday 1:<\/strong> We will close on a high note with the traditional <strong>Farmers&#8217; Market<\/strong>, a swap and sale space open to all members.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Participation and Sustainability<\/h4>\n\n<p>As per our tradition, participation in the rally is <strong>free<\/strong> (with the possibility of a free offering to defray organizational costs). We will be housed in a facility that also allows overnight camper accommodation and, for those who wish, the kitchen staff will provide meals. Remember: WWOOF is about sharing! Volunteer shifts will be organized to run the cafeteria and clean-up.   <br\/><strong>The number of beds is limited and priority will be given to WWOOF members. Please register as soon as possible to help the staff better organize the logistics.   <\/strong>Once you have run out of beds within the hostel, you will have to make your own arrangements to find accommodation nearby. The staff will be able to provide you with helpful suggestions on various lodging options.  <\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to get there and how to register<\/h4>\n\n<p>Whether you arrive by train (Follonica station), by car or on foot, we are waiting for you!
