Established in 2013 in collaboration with WWOOF Italia, it is a rural home focused on self-sufficiency and welcoming WWOOFers. Its subsistence-based economy relies on exchange and on the processing and sale of natural products. <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The emergency: the hailstorm of July 21<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After an extremely hot month of June, a sudden and violent hailstorm struck the area around Bellante (Teramo) on July 21. The exceptionally large, sharp-edged hailstones caused severe damage to the land, crops and farm structures: <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>The storage shed roof:<\/strong> the hailstones punctured the waterproof roofing membrane and broke numerous underlying roof tiles, putting the materials stored inside at risk.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Gutters and downpipes:<\/strong> the gutters on both sides of the house were destroyed and will need to be completely replaced, along with the rainwater downpipes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Vegetable garden, fruit trees and vehicle: t<\/strong>he vegetation was severely damaged, and the car was also affected by the hailstorm.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How We Can Help: Goal of \u20ac1,500 and community support team<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To restore the roof and protect the building, the mutual aid community is stepping up!<\/p>\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Fundraising (Goal: \u20ac1,500): <strong>t<\/strong>he funds will be used to purchase the insulated metal sheets needed to replace the shed\u2019s roof.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Community support team:<\/strong> Once we&#8217;ve raised the necessary funds and purchased the materials, we&#8217;ll organize a community work day to install the roofing and repair the damage together.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to donate<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can contribute to the fundraising campaign by making a top-up or bank transfer to the Postepay Evolution card:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Cardholder:<\/strong> Franzini Marina<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Postepay Evolution card number:<\/strong> 5333 1722 7320 6775<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Codice IBAN: <\/strong>IT36K3608105138289655189659<br\/><strong>Suggested payment reference:<\/strong> Mutual Aid Donation<br\/><br\/><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A heartfelt thank you to anyone who can contribute with a donation or by offering their help in the upcoming volunteer effort to get \u201cLa Casa del Sole\u201d up and running again!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Fundraising campaign and community support team<br \/>\nLa Casa del Sole is a small, welcoming place in the Abruzzo, located in Bellante (Teramo).
