Blending journalistic investigation with the personal stories of those fighting on the front lines for sustainable food, the film unveils the dark web of money, power and politics behind the crisis in the food system and exposes how the racist practices underlying current agricultural production are destroying so many farmers. However, a new movement is emerging in support of “regenerative” agriculture, which is also voiced in the film by such stars as Laura Dern, Jason Momoa, Rosario Dawson and Woody Harrelson.
