dangerous government decision

With the Ministerial Decree of April 9, 2025, Italy granted the use of the product “Closer” as an exemption for emergency situations and for a limited period of 120 days, to combat the presence of Scaphoideus titanus and Planococcus ficus in vineyards. WWF stresses the seriousness of this decision because there is a wide choice of plant protection products based on active substances other than “sulfoxaflor” on the market for the control of the two insects that have lower toxicity to non-target organisms.
