For the management of a livestock business in the mountains

The Valli Libere Fondiaria Association with the collaboration of the Municipality of Rittana and the Nuto Revelli ETS Foundation is offering a unique opportunity to run a sheep and/or goat breeding business on 20 hectares of mountain land near Borgata Paraloup (Rittana | CN).

For the 2026 summer season – and with prospects for continuation – the search call for a shepherd/a capable of combining animal husbandry with biodiversity protection, dairy production and land development, in synergy with the Rittana and Paraloup communities.

Profile sought

● Owner or third-party manager of a flock (sheep and/or goats) of max. 100 cap
● Experience in semi-wild livestock management, in accordance with the regulations of the Regional Pastoral Plan
● Knowledge of environmentally and animal welfare-friendly farming practices
● Interest in dairy processing and direct sales
● Ability to work in a network with local actors, the Free Valleys Land Association , the Nuto Revelli Foundation and the Borgata Paraloup, respecting the local hybrid and multidisciplinary ecosystem

What we offer

● Land: 20 hectares of hillside pasture and forest managed according to Regional Pastoral Plan
● Infrastructure: covered barn for about 100 head | container for dairy use (to be equipped) | immediate housing solutions (caravans and mobile home)
● Market and Tourism: direct sales and tastings at Paraloup tourist network
● Outreach: possibility of introducing the work, dairy products to tourists and school groups, in synergy with the cultural and hospitality programming of the Paraloup hamlet

The legal form of the collaboration will be defined according to the profile and project presented by the candidate, within the framework of the objectives of the Land Association and the Municipality of Rittana.
