Many WWOOFers started out to learn, to connect with the earth or to escape concrete. But what happens when that desire to “get back to nature” becomes a life project? What happens when you realize that you want to be tomorrow’s Host, regenerating a hamlet or an agricultural supply chain in the Apennines?
Moving from vision to practice requires method, contacts and a lot of courage. This is where the Edoardo Garrone Foundation’s ReStartApp Campus can become an opportunity.
What is ReStartApp?
It is a residential business incubator designed specifically for those who want to revive the Apennines. The campus offers free training, expert coaching and a network of contacts for those who want to start businesses in the sectors:
- Sustainable agriculture and animal husbandry.
- Forest management.
- Slow and responsible tourism.
- Handicrafts and local culture.
Why is this the right opportunity for a WWOOFer?
If you have spent months learning soil care or livestock management on WWOOF network farms, you already have the “know how.” ReStartApp is a way to go beyond that.
Added value: Participating in the campus means comparing yourself with other young people and receiving the tools to make your project economically viable over time.
