Field day harvesting lavender

We are organizing a local WWOOF meeting near Assisi for July 13.

Meeting day in the field

On Sunday, July 13, we meet at Paola and Stefano ‘s (S.Maria di Lignano, 41 Assisi-PG) host members to get together, get to know each other and learn more about lavender and the magical process of distilling its essence.

Here is the outline program

• 09:30 – Arrivals
• Until 12:00 noon – Field harvesting of lavender
• 13:00 – vegetarian lunch (if you want to bring something to share)
• In the afternoon, distillation of essential oil from harvested lavender.

It will be hot and we will be watched closely by the sun, so bring a head covering. Harvesting will be done manually: bring work gloves and sickle (if you have one)
