MANUAL MOWING CULTURE AND TECHNIQUE COURSE
Sunday, June 23, 2024 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., on the Mount Ragogna, we will greet the arrival of summer with the course on (re)approaching the use of the scythe not only as a memory of an ancient art but as a traditional practice that offers concrete answers in the field of environmental sustainability, for an alternative approach in the protection and management of green spaces.
The course will be led by Mauro Zambon, agricultural expert and founder of theAcademy of the Scythe, and will offer the basic elements of scythe management theory and practice-mowing, sharpening and threshing-not neglecting the cultural aspects of this practice and its impact on biodiversity.
The necessary tools and instruments (scythes, sharpening tools, etc.) will be provided by the Association. It will be possible to bring your own scythe for those who own one.
