Realization Wood-fired oven made of raw earth
Construction mode: Workshop
Expected time: 3-4 days of furnace construction course + 3 extra days

Workshop Introduction:
An oven is built to start a “hearth” to fuel ideas of sharing. From the very first
steps you create a small community ready to witness that with serenity and joy anything is possible; thus
Rolling up their sleeves and pants, they begin the slurries of earth, sand, straw, and water
Reclaiming places of life, spaces of sociability and healthy nourishment. It is important to resume contact,
layer by layer, with the matter on which our feet rest: the ground, the earth we tread,
That nourishes us and enables us to build.
Program over three days of course:
Day 1
First phase
– theoretical part (introduction to raw earth, designing a wood-fired earth oven)
– site organization
– Sieving of aggregates and binder
– setting the oven to the hob
Day 2
Second phase
– completion of the first earth dome
– Organization of the material for laying the insulation layer and the second dome
Day 3
Completion phase
– Construction of the insulation layer and the second dome
