SEEKING NEIGHBORS WITH CHOICE OF FOOD AND ENERGY SELF-SUFFICIENCY

We are a 36- and 39-year-old couple. We live in a hamlet of Gremiasco, in Valcurone, in the province of Alessandria at about 400m a.s.l. It is a very green and wooded hilly area with a nice network of farmers and non-farmers who are active in the area. We produce our own food there and will soon be off grid with the house.

They have put up for sale a house in our hamlet, and we are looking for a couple (willingly with children as well) about our age who have the same passion and goal of food and energy reductionism and self-sufficiency, so that we can carry on shared activities such as growing grains for self-consumption, wood for home use, shared car, etc.

The house for sale is well kept and in our opinion is fine for those who make a lifestyle choice like ours (roof, cheap stove, two stoves, wood boiler, 3 bedrooms, cellars, storage rooms, woodshed, outside connection for gas cylinder, everything in place). Besides the house there is land, mostly woods and two flatlands. For the price there is to negotiate with the owner but it could be between 40’000 and 50’000 with everything.
