We have received and share a search for on-call work for a person or couple and possibilities to start collaborations on the territory in the province of Treviso. Over time we will then assess the readiness or otherwise of new people for community life on the farm.

A similar ad was open in February that had found a response but no continuity: so the opportunity to apply is back.
Below is the message sent by our HOST members Domenico and Francesca

We are an organic educational farm in Preganziol (TV) connected to a cohousing and with a long history of social projects and we are looking for: an agricultural worker, an educator/educator (pedagogy of the forest), a handyman (agritourism, markets etc) with a strong passion for nature and sustainable agriculture, motivated and experienced to enhance our project of organic farming and widespread eco-village and permaculture serving the territory. We specify to you that the style we have on the farm is a simple style of involvement not necessarily sectoral in tasks: everyone has his or her own important role but then the farm group supports each other, helps each other, and organizes itself in as ductile a way as possible.

What we offer:

• Opportunities for growth: an environment that allows you to develop your skills and contribute new ideas.
• Space and freedom: you will work in an area of more than one hectare, rich in potential, with ample opportunity for expression of your work.
• Organic and educational farm: the farm boasts numerous collaborations with other producers and various activities and projects. In itself, the fields, respectfully housed animals and existing facilities offer the possibility of spreading the culture of natural and sustainable organic with environmental education activities for children and adults.
• Direct sales and already established channels: the farm can rely on an established network of direct sales of various products; this is done in a variety of ways: local markets, door-to-door delivery, online platforms, production for its own agritourism and cohousing.
• Above all, we aim to reactivate a CSA: Community in Support of Agriculture, which is currently suspended but very eager to start again.
• Contractual framework to be mutually agreed upon according to mutual needs (such as an on-call contract to begin with).
• Possibility of accommodation for the right person or couple after trial period.

What we look for in the agricultural sector:

• Practical experience in organic farming, with knowledge of cultivation techniques and soil care.
• We specify that this is an unmechanized work.
• B license and willingness to learn to drive tractor.
• Ability to work in a team with colleagues but also with woofers or volunteers.
• Desire to innovate and contribute to a project that aims for sustainability and community growth.

What we are looking for in the education sector:

• A person with experience in educating children (perhaps in outdoor education settings, educational farms, or similar).
• Training in education, pedagogy or experience in activities with similar approaches (Montessori, Steiner, scouts, outdoor education) welcome.
• If you don’t have as much experience there is the possibility of training followed by an educator.
• Passion for nature, animals and working with young children.
• Ability to organize and lead outdoor activities (explorations, workshops, games, etc.).
• Initiative, creativity and ability to adapt to the demands of a natural setting.

What we are looking for in agritourism and markets:

• Good physical ability, with willingness to perform duties including lifting and moving weights.
• Experience, even brief, in food service, kitchen/processing or waitressing role.
• Interest in learning the basics of artisan baking with sourdough and local organic ingredients.
• Aptitude for teamwork and collaboration with colleagues and volunteers.
• Flexibility and ability to adapt to the rhythms and activities associated with agricultural seasonality.
• Sensitivity and willingness to relate to people, families and groups who participate in social and educational activities on the farm.
• Willingness to work weekends.
