Education about the earth, sustainability and respect for nature are values that are cultivated from an early age. It is with great enthusiasm that WWOOF Italy is among the supporters of a special event dedicated to the earth, science and the ecological growth of the new generations: the Organic Garden and Science Festival !
The event, titled “The Harvest of a Year: Organic Garden and New Goals, “ is sponsored by the“G. Binotti” Comprehensive Institute of Pergola to celebrate the fruits of a rich educational and project journey focused on nature and land care.
When and where
If you are in the area or would like to support this beautiful community initiative, here are the details to participate:
- The appointment is for Thursday, June 4.
- Activities will take place from 09:30 to 12:00.
- It will be located atthe Organic Garden at the Pergola School Village.
The Morning Program
It will be a time of celebration, sharing and discovery led directly by the real protagonists of this journey, the students:
- Institutional Gre etings: Opening of the day with greetings from the School Headmistress and Authorities.
- Presentation of Projects: Presentation of details of the O.L.A.N.D.A. project and activities related to “Cinema for School.”
- Special Inaugurations: Ribbon cutting for the new Green Classroom (built through a virtuous Crowdfunding project) and theFlowering Oasis dedicated to biodiversity (Project + Bees).
- Guided Tour of the Garden: Classes will be the ones to guide visitors through the organic garden.
- Educational Exhibition: Display of the works made by pupils during the school year.
Deep roots: educational projects on the ground
This celebration represents the culmination of an entire year of creative and experiential workshops aimed at stimulating deep ecological awareness:
- Project O.L.A.N.D.A. (Siform2 Code 1113432): An acronym that summarizes a modern pedagogical vision, based on Outdooreducation, Languages, Art, Nature, Funand Autonomy.
- Crowdfunding “Laudato Sì”: Developed around the theme “Art, Nature and Beauty – Creative Workshops to Educate Respect for the World,” to combine artistic expression and ecological sensitivity.
- Project + Bees: Creation of flower oases specifically designed to protect biodiversity and support pollinating insects.
- Cinema and Images for School (CIPS ): A pathway that saw the elementary school engaged in the production of the animated film “Francis and the Wolf.”
A solid network for the future
Initiatives like this one demonstrate the importance of creating synergies and networking on the territory.
