New things are coming in terms of communication between members: as of April 8, 2024, messaging will have a new feature. Until now, the first contact between members was always only through a visit request sent by the WWOOFer to the host. What if the host is the one who wants to send the first message to a WWOOFer? From today it will be possible thanks to the new page visible to hosts: the WWOOFer list.

If you are a regularly registered WWOOF Italy host from now on you will find the “WWOOFer” item in the top left menu when you log into your account. From here you will be redirected to the WWOOFer list where you will find all WWOOFers who have given consent to have their profiles visible.

Would you like to share your farming, processing or craft practices? Want to invite a WWOOFer so that you can practice a foreign language? Would you like to be taught some vegetarian recipes from another country? You will now have the ability to use filters to reach WWOOFers based on their interests, languages spoken, availability, and dietary regimen.

This feature undoubtedly welcomed by many will be even more useful and versatile in the near future. In fact, there is already a keyword search and more geographic information to help communication between members in the same area.

Also coming as a final step will be messaging between WWOOFer and WWOOFer to share travel, leisure and interests among traveling members.
