TO IMPROVE AGRICULTURAL YIELDS
SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 1, 2026 FARM DAY AT TORRITA DI SIENA
WE PLANT TWO HEDGES USING LOCAL WILD WOODY FLORA
►The worksite takes place on the Passerini farm at Padolecchie in Via del Porto near Torrita di Siena(https://www.aziendapasserini.it/, host profile: https://wwoof.it/it/host/15426) and is also organized by WWOOF Italy’s Seminasiepi project
►The construction site is open to anyone who wants to participate: we will create a team of ten volunteers who will reach Padolecchie with their own vehicle, sufficient food, necessary tools (pruning shears, hacksaw, gloves – we can also provide them)
►At 08:30 a.m., the work of the construction site starts at a specific point, so it is better to reach Padolecchie no later than 08:10 a.m.
►The work is entirely field work and includes choosing the sides of ditches to be lined with hedges, collecting cuttings especially from willows and poplars, planting the cuttings; during field work but especially in the late afternoon after planting is completed, insights into the benefits that hedges confer on the surrounding arable land
►You are doubly welcome if you would like to bring seedlings-thales-seeds that you have taken from the wild woody flora of the place you inhabit
►For better organization, anyone interested please phone as soon as possible to Sara Passerini 340-4161112 or Marcella Leoncini 351-6009702
