Beside the Earth a.p.s. needs your help in the implementation of the Sensory Garden “Oasis of Mills”!

We receive and forward from our members Cecilia Verganti and Daniele Bruzzi of Accanto Educational Farm in Modena an invitation to participate in the fundraiser for the creation of a healing sensory garden.

“Accanto alla Terra a.p.s. needs your help in the realization of the Sensory Garden “Oasi dei Mulini”! In Modena, a few steps from the city, there is a green oasis that is the Accanto Farm, and here, in this place we dream of being able to create a garden. Not just any garden but a place, accessible to all, in which paths and activities aimed at children, adults and the elderly, including those with disabilities, will come to life. Inspired by the healing gardens of northern Europe, we imagine a garden with landscape features that facilitate the psychophysical well-being of those who frequent it, with the hope of giving inclusive activities that enhance the different abilities of the participants. Our Sensory Garden will be a place where respect for nature’s biodiversity will embrace that of human biodiversity, and we are confident that with your help we will be able to realize this dream.
