Is organic good for health?
To answer this question, a scientific study conducted by the Department of Nutrigenomics at Tor Vergata University in Rome investigated the effects on the human body of a Mediterranean diet with organic products.
For one month, 15 volunteers switched from a ‘do-it-yourself’ diet to a 100% organic Mediterranean diet. Before and after, researchers looked at the composition of the gut microbiota (the variety and quality of microorganisms that inhabit our digestive tract); body composition; and oxidative stress reduction.
