The Il Rosmarino farm in Marcon (VE) has been a host of WWOOF Italy for many years and a reference point in the Venetian area for those seeking agricultural and lifestyle approaches more in tune with nature. We will be their guests in a few days during the fall gathering.

However, they are currently experiencing great hardship due to the possibility that the farm will be expropriated by the City of Marcon if the roofs of some structures are not demolished in time.

That is why at this emergent stage for them we are spreading their appeal to the network for help, even though these are obviously not tasks that are normally required of WWOOFers.

Here are their requirements:

1) Volunteers able to carry out the demolition of the roof of some agricultural structures and their replacement with nylon sheeting

2) Legal and technical and construction support to be able to interact with the city administration in reference to this issue

3) communication experts aimed at raising awareness of the importance of the presence of farm animals for socio-educational purposes in the area and fundraising experts who can enhance their ‘in-person and long-distance adoption

The request is of extreme urgency, so it starts now and will extend until the end of November.

Being able to re-roof the stables and other structures will mean restoring a safer shelter for the horses and other animals and reorganizing the farm more efficiently. It may also be an opportunity for a refounding with new energy.

Room and board in dormitory is offered for as long as needed.
