Theory complements the daily practical activities, which are developed by the selected participants through the immersive residency

NEO – New Hospitable Experiences is a school of community activation and ecological transition proposed by the cultural association
Mountains in Motion in the municipality of Gagliano Aterno (AQ), which aims to train professional figures through a six-month residency, during which they will acquire the tools needed to support and activate local communities to address the environmental and social challenges of the future, particularly with reference to the challenges of the ecological and energy transition.
The pilot phase of NEO was launched last June and took place between July and December 2022. The first national call collected 28
nominations. Selected participants joined the immersive training school whose macro themes were the
neopopulation of inland areas, ecological transition and the tools of action-research in the social sciences.
