June came on tiptoe: at I Soffioni We almost didn’t notice. We still have lots of seedlings to transplant in the gardens and sowing to continue. The tomatoes also need to be tied and supported, but the big event is the garlic harvest. The beauty of cleaning it all together, of sitting in the shade of the barn telling stories and anecdotes of life. The richness of the first big harvest of summer.
