Why this article in a blog devoted to virtuous agricultural practices?

Transition is a complex issue: if new balances are needed, it is not possible to think and act in watertight compartments. Environmental, social and economic equity passes through a particularly complicated web of interrelationships that requires great listening and observation skills. It is no coincidence that first Rimaflow and then the former GKN have become a reference for much of the peasant movement related to the innovation of social relations and the care of the Common Good: Mondeggi Bene Comune, Campi Aperti and other related realities have forged constructive relationships of confrontation in search of alliances and possible convergences to imagine new paths toward the increasingly urgent transformation of society.

Healthy and useful productions, price equity, for example, cannot remain buzzwords but, in manifesting all their complexity, become concrete frontiers of transition for the now alienated city-country relationship.

We now leave the floor to the former GKN Collective, promising to resume and deepen this reflection.

📣 To all future popular shareholder(s), to all people and trade union, social, associative solidarity realities ,

🎯 o n September 30 we will conclude the popular share campaign. We are at about 850,000 euros in pledges raised. The goal remains 1 million euros: difficult to reach in one month, but not impossible.

Company ownership continues in its absentee and incompetent conduct. The legitimate suspicion is that all along their goal has been to complete the relocation by proxy, empty the site and turn it into an empty skeleton available to the real estate market.

In these three years, institutional politics could have closed this game in five minutes. They preferred to be immobile or so late and slow as to be ineffective. As always, they prefer to pass as powerless so as not to appear complicit, and they are complicit when they profess to be powerless.

The receivership (in government hands) and the regional law for the public consortium (under discussion at the regional commissions) are in danger of never coming or coming too late.

❗ In any case from September, the pressure of mobilization will have to return high.

Against us they used all kinds of tools, going so far as to create an entrepreneurial vacuum aimed at wiping out the factory and the dispute itself. In response, we have developed a bottom-up reindustrialization plan based on ecological reconversion, which clashes every minute with the inability of this system to bring about a real ecological transition,

People’s shareholding and reindustrialization from below are the tools with which to try to escape the attrition that weakens us day by day.

👉 We do not believe that a real ecological transition is possible without a radical change in the current social order. That is why the people’s shareholding is not just a technical matter, and the meetings of the people’s shareholder(s) are not merely an account of the industrial project. The socially integrated factory will be born as a node in a network or not at all.
