The data analysis and position statement of March Stop Pesticides.

By 2024, there were 103,504 hectares of vineyards in Veneto. An increase of 47% from 2010, when there were 70,219 hectares. In the province of Treviso, there was an increase of 74% from 25,683 hectares in 2010 to 44,788 hectares in 2024.

The numbers

On January 10 of this year, the Third meeting of the Trittico Vitivinicolo 2024 was held in Legnaro (PD), where data and trends in the wine sector were presented (see table below). The numbers make an impression when compared to how many there were in 2010(ISTAT data). Basically, in just under 15 years there has been a 47 percent increase. Even more impressive is what is happening in the province of Treviso, where it has gone from 25,683 hectares in 2010, to 44,788 hectares in 2024, an increase of 74% !
