Mutualism, solidarity, collective needs underpinning the production of jurisprudence for the common good
On the recommendation of our friends at MAG6 we are circulating an article that tracks the public assembly held at Casa Bettola in Reggio Emilia last June 7.
“The story of Casa Bettola begins with a gesture that formally crossed the line of law to give substance to a right. At this moment we claim to be an active participant in the transformation of the law, as a community that generates law through living practices, customs and habits rooted in mutualism, solidarity, and the building of social ties as a legitimate source of jurisprudence as it responds to collective needs.”
We invite everyone to read the article published in Linea Reggiana that collects the ideas and proposals that emerged during the meeting “Creating community in catastrophe; from defending the public to building the commons.” A text that for us marks an important step on the path toward the recognition of the commons.
